If Kirk had taken up a career in guitar solos he would be much better, and also Joe does have at least 10 years more experience than Kirk. But Joe is the best

@Gyro911 its obivious you know nothing about music or guitar playing for saying technique doesnt matter. That is what you look at when comparing guitarists Satriani is at a level that few others have reached. He is without a doubt better than Hammett.

In my personal opinion, I think that Joe Satriani is far much more pleasure to listen to than Kirk. Now I’m not dissing Kirk at all, I can respect the music and his skills. But in a way, his improv cannot compare to Joe Satriani at all. It’s also kind of stupid to compare guitarists who don’t play the same type of music. Kirk needs to learn a bit more about theory and stop playing the same type of lick over and over.

if anyone wants to know the song at the start is flamenco. . . steve vai has a version of it. dont know whose it is. . but still. . . . and to all u guys . . . i wud say satriani. . technical. . soulful and sounds great. . . kirk makes awesome solos and plays really good too. . . but i wud still say satriani’s better. . but anyway there shudn be stuff like this. . wat f they see it? it just creates rivalry between a teacher and a student

@Gyro911 Are they just dumbass scales because you can’t memorize them? Why spend weeks trying to learn how to sound bluesy? With theory, you know the 5 pentatonic shapes and the pentatonic scale has no 2nd or 6th note and a b3. End of, you sound bluesy like that. . People who dont like theory are people who dont want to put time to something and admit they cant learn it without a LOT of work. Its like saying “Flying a plane is about the feeling, there’s no point in learning how to do it”. Silly.
